# conflict

> HTTP 409 — the request conflicts with the current state of the resource.

The request is valid on its own but cannot be applied to the resource as it
currently stands — for example asking for consent collection on an account
that is not configured for it.

**Not retryable.** The `detail` field explains the conflict; resolving it
usually requires a change on the FMG side or by the account holder rather
than a change to your request.
